Facing Baldness

One of the most difficult side effects of some treatments is baldness.

You may have difficulty facing the woman in the mirror. Try a little makeup. Earrings are a plus. Comfortable scarves and hats can be very chic. Most importantly, try a little self-talk, e.g. "Not a bad looking head," or "Bald is beautiful," or "I don't need hair to see the beauty that exists." One final note: if you live in a cold climate, find a neat nightcap to wear to bed.

I ordered my wig in advance of losing my hair. I also purchased scarves with removable fake bangs. I put my makeup on every day and told myself how great I looked under the circumstances. It helps when those around you comment on how great you are looking too!
